How Urbana Mosquito Control Works
We start with a full property inspection. Our licensed technicians locate every breeding source and resting area on your lot. We place stations in shaded areas around your property. Egg-laying females are drawn to the water inside. When they land, they pick up larvicide and a fungal agent from treated gauze strips. Why Urbana Has Heavy Mosquito Pressure
Urbana sits in the Monocacy River valley in southern Frederick County. The river's floodplain, surrounding farmland, and wooded lowlands create broad stretches of slow-moving and standing water where mosquitoes breed. Inside the community, retention ponds, drainage swales, and stormwater basins built to handle runoff from over 4,000 homes in Villages of Urbana alone add dozens more breeding sites within walking distance of front doors.
The Asian tiger mosquito is the most aggressive species here.
